A superb example of Arts & Crafts design, a matching pair of solid oak and cognac leather armchairs. Each with a square back with a central carved foliate relief. Curved armrests, with bobbin-turned front legs, joined to the square back legs by an 'H' shaped stretcher. Both seats upholstered in cognac leather. Brass studs finish the detail. Really lovely colour. Pieces of this quality were sold by Liberty & Co. 

Very solid and sturdy throughout.
